Abu Dhabi, UAE — Vitalls, a UAE-founded AI-powered digital health passport, has appointed Dr. Dirk Richter, MD, PhD, as Board Advisor for Health Systems Strategy.
A surgeon and health economist, Dr. Richter has spent more than 25 years at the meeting point of medicine, health systems and innovation. He led health sector innovation at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi for a decade and has advised the UAE Minister of Health and Prevention.
Dr. Richter will bring a health system perspective to Vitalls' strategy as the company grows internationally.
“Dirk has spent his career where medicine, health systems and innovation meet. Few people understand as well as he does what it takes for a new technology to earn the trust of health systems. His perspective will be invaluable as we accelerate our international expansion,” said Mehdi Bouchenak, Founder of Vitalls.
“People move between clinics, cities and countries, but their health records rarely follow them. Vitalls puts that record in the hands of the patient, with the security health systems expect. I am pleased to support the team as it scales internationally,” said Dr. Dirk Richter.
The appointment further strengthens Vitalls' Board of Advisors, which brings together leaders from healthcare, government and investment.
